Life Community Church

History

In January of 2013, a remnant of believers decided to follow the leading of God and not man. As a result, a prayer line was created, and 12 men and women of faith stayed in prayer together every morning before the Lord. Determined to stay united in fellowship, they began having bible study weekly from one place or another when possible. Soon after in March 2013, a fellowship meeting to encourage each other was set. A love for God and each other birthed a new church of faith. We were blessed to have over 20 people present that night and elected Pastor Stephon Donaldson as the pastor after some questions and answers were given from the people and pastor. We finally acquired a place for worship on Sunday mornings and Bible Study on Tuesday nights, we started renting the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1410 Clifford Ave. Rochester N.Y.

On May 10, 2013, we had our 1st service and our membership grew to 65 members. The following year we had over 125 members that had joined River of Life Community Church. Mother Day May 4th, 2014 we celebrated our 1st church anniversary with a booked out banquet.

At present we are still growing strong and following God’s Holy Spirit and direction.

Our Vision Statement

River of Life Community Church is a living, breathing organism with a mandate from God to birth restoration and reconciliation to mankind through the revelation of God’s Word. It is a reformation that aspires to become interdenominational, interracial, and international. Through the atmosphere of vibrant praise and worship and strong expository preaching, we endeavor to serve our community in the “spirit of excellence”.

Statement Of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
