Bible Study

Life Flows at the River - Revelations 22:1-2

Bible study is a place to connect with other believers in the fellowship; to grow in your understanding of the Bible, as Jesus’ own small group of disciples once did, and to worship God through practicing godly behavior.

Beginning Thursday, May 6 @ 7 pm bible study will resume in the house at the River.

The Christian education department will be starting a new bible study series book, “Kingdom Stewardship by Tony Evans”. Learn to manage your God-given time, talents, and resources to advance God’s kingdom and bring Him glory!

Books can be purchased at Christian BookAmazon, or Barnes and Noble, or any store of your choosing. Make sure you purchase the book, not the participant guide or group video.  We encourage all members to purchase this book so that you will be able to participate in our weekly bible studies.

Book Description

Far too many Christians live their lives with an attitude of self-determination. They think, “My life, my stuff, my career, my family, my future—my choice.”

But the truth of the matter is that we don’t really own anything in this life—God owns it all! In His grace and mercy, God has appointed us as managers of His assets.

With wisdom and purpose, God has entrusted you with a portion of His estate to manage and expand on His behalf.

In this compelling book, D. Tony Evans shows that stewardship is much bigger than managing your money well. Stewardship involves managing all that you have, all that you are, and all that you do under the loving and sovereign rule of God.

By investing your life in generous, humble service through kingdom stewardship, you’ll take hold of that which is life indeed—the life you were created for.
